Joanne Hilary Major
Major Family Law was established by one of the North East’s most well known specialist practitioners, Joanne Hilary Major.
Joanne has over 15 years of legal experience exclusively in the area of family law. She has a particular emphasis on divorce and the financial consequences of the breakdown of a relationship often dealing in complex, substantial estates. She also deals with disputes and issues relating to children.
She rose to be the Head of the family team at Watson Burton, a position she held for 7 years and where she acquired a reputation as a lawyer’s lawyer. Her client base is both regional and national and is accrued primarily through personal recommendations from previous clients and other professional contacts.
