Costs
We understand you will be concerned about your legal costs. Whilst we do not undertake legal aid work, if you are eligible for public funding (previously known as legal aid) we shall recommend the services of lawyers in your area who could assist you. All work is charged on a competitive hourly rate often lower than the rate set by City Centre firms. The reason for this, is that we have lower overheads and are based out of town. You will therefore receive clear City Centre advice and expertise but with out of town prices.
We offer all new clients an initial free consultation in relation to any question you may have on issues relating to either divorce or family law. Please take a look at our section entitled “What we do” for further information. Alternatively please contact us using the contact details provided to arrange your initial consultation.
Should you be considering separation or divorce and are particularly concerned about financial matters, then the following preparatory steps can be undertaken before you arrange your consultation which should assist both you as well as your lawyer which will save you both time and money. The following list is a guide to some of the issues that will be dealt with in more detail by your lawyer but may assist you in focusing on the areas that may be causing you immediate concern and anxiety.
