From 1 April 2013, Legal Aid will be withdrawn for most family law cases. It remains available in certain specific circumstances, including where there has been domestic abuse. For the most part, all cases now have to be privately funded. We are constantly developing ways to make this easier for our clients, and if we believe you may be eligible for some form of financial assistance, we shall advise you and refer you to someone who can assist where appropriate.
All of our specialist lawyers are members of Resolution. This is a national organisation of over 6,500 family law professionals committed adopting a fair and non confrontational approach in the way we handle your affairs as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.
At Major Family Law we offer an initial free, no obligation meeting whether in person, by telephone, by email or skype - to discuss your individual situation in relation to any question you may have on issues relating to divorce, separation or matters of family law. At this meeting we shall discuss which of the following processes are right for you as we recognise each family is different and one approach does not fit all.
