Christian Swinburne

Consultant Solicitor

Christian was born in Newcastle and brought up in Dipton, County Durham and Northumberland.

He attained his LLB(Hons) from Northumbria University.

Christian qualified in 1996 having trained in Chester-le-Street, moving to Gateshead where he has practised ever since.

Starting as a General Practitioner he undertook Civil litigation work for many years before specialising in Private Client work including Property and Landed Estates work and looking after the needs of individuals in relation to the Preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Deputyships, Tax Planning and the Administration of Affairs and Estates. He is an accredited member of Solicitors For The Elderly.

As well as practising as a Solicitor, Christian is President of Gateshead CAB, Chairman of the Friends of Ushaw College and a Trustee of various charities including Age UK Gateshead, Genesis Trust in Consett, Newcastle City Centre Chaplaincy and Daybreak. He is also Area Representative of the Solicitors Benevolent Association.  He is also a trustee of many other small charitable institutions.

Christian is married with three children and when he is not looking after his client’s needs he looks after those of his family as well as his pigs, chickens and peacocks.
