Role at Major Family Law
Claire was appointed the firm’s Finance Manager in 2017. She is an integral support to the fee earners and her acquired management skills complement the running of the Practice.
Claire is also the firm’s COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration). Claire is responsible for ensuring the financial controls and processes which are put in place are followed together with ensuring the compliance procedures are followed. The compliance process starts from the moment a client contacts the firm and continues until the matter is concluded and the file is closed
Expertise
Claire joined Major Family Law as a legal assistant in February 2013. This followed a solid legal career in several heavy-weight corporate Newcastle City Centre firms. Claire has worked alongside a number of colleagues presently with Major Family Law, and formerly Watson Burton, working for the head of the Professional Indemnity Department.Claire has gained a wealth of experience in professional indemnity claims brought against professionals. Her organisation and numeracy skills and commitment to excellent service standards set her apart.
Outside of work
In her spare time Claire likes spending time with family and friends, going for walks and baking although most spare time is currently taken up by helping with house renovations.
