Role at Major Family Law
Lucinda joined Major Family Law in 2013 and quickly progressed to being an associate of the firm and subsequently being appointed as a director in January 2018.
Her role encompasses all aspects of family law including divorce, separation and preparing pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements. Much of Lucinda’s work in this field involves business interests and complex asset valuations and high value pensions. She is also an extremely experienced practitioner in children matters, dealing regularly with residence and contact arrangements and the relocation of children, both within the UK and overseas.
Lucinda has practiced exclusively in family law since 2000 and approached every case with diligence and careful attention to detail. She is recognized for her pragmatism and her judgement, honed over 20 years of experience of dealing with varied and challenging matters, enables her to provide constructive advice to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.
Recognised by Legal 500 as a skilled advocate, Lucinda has considerable experience in litigating within the court system but also retains a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution methods, such as arbitration, enhancing her ability to adopt the best process for individual clients and cases. Lucinda has acted in a number of high net worth arbitrations and successfully assisted in settling a case involving a well-known TV personality and Premier League footballer.
Lucinda has a particular interest in international children cases and experience of dealing with child abduction and relocation involving countries such as Greece, France, Pakistan, Italy and Ireland.
Outside the office
Lucinda lives with her husband and two sons. When not organising them, she enjoys horse riding and cricket (spectating - not participating - in the latter!) or a blissful quiet few minutes with a book.
Lucinda qualified in August 2000.
