Role at Major Family Law
Mena is an in-house consultant for Major Family Law adding value to the firm’s niche brand with her extensive knowledge and national pedigree and for our clients Mena undertakes all family law advocacy work throughout the M25 corridor. Mena will also take arbitration referrals via the firm anywhere throughout the world, dealing with the law of England and Wales.
Mena’s expertise in family law is extensive and covers Family Law Arbitration, all areas of matrimonial finance for clients UK based and for those living or working abroad; assisting those who wish to separate whether they were married or cohabiting by way of drafting separation agreements, cohabitation agreements; the preparation of pre and post nuptial agreements, spousal maintenance and variation orders as well as the enforcement of financial orders. Mena has a particularly interest in family law research and takes enjoyment in finding the solution to quirky, unusual or testing points of family law.
Mena is also a specialist in matrimonial finance advocacy having undertaken contested final hearings in a variety of financial matters including cases to appeal.
Mena was one of the first lawyers in the UK to train as an Arbitrator in 2012 and was the first Asian arbitrator to qualify under the IFLA Scheme.
Mena has recently been involved as a committee member in the pension advisory group. The group released a report in July 2019 which forms the foundation for the treatment of pensions in divorce and civil partnership dissolution.

In the latest edition of the Legal 500 Mena is listed as an accredited specialist in matrimonial finance advocacy having undertaken contested final hearings in a variety of financial matters including cases to appeal.

Outside of work
Mena spends a great deal of time out of work hours caring for her diabetic cat. When she has time she enjoys watching films with her husband and cooking.
Mena qualified in 1999
