Leading lawyer, Joanne Major of Legal 500 Top Tier Firm, Major Family Law comments that the latest edition of the Legal 500 was published on 1st October, confirming Major Family Law’s status as a leading practice in the area of family law.

Despite only having been founded five years ago, Major Family Law has been recommended as a TOP-TIER FIRM for family law advice for the past three years consecutively.

Described as ‘a leading player in the North East’, they are recognised for their expertise in divorce and financial remedy cases as well as private children’s law applications, including joint residence and jurisdiction issues.

Practice head, Joanne Major, whom the Legal 500 describes as ‘tenacious in her representation of her clients and always keen to promote their best interests’, is listed in the elite “Leading Lawyers” list. The Legal 500’s guide to outstanding lawyers nationwide. This is the 3rd year in a row that Joanne has been listed as a Leading Individual in her field, and also the 3rd year in a row in which she is the only family lawyer in the North of England to make the list, confirming her reputation both regionally and nationally as the top choice solicitor for family law advice in the North East.

As if that weren’t sufficient, Joanne and two of her team are listed as Recommended Lawyers in this edition: Lucinda Connell, who joined the firm just over a year ago, and senior solicitor, Anna Hunter, whom the directory describes as having ‘impressive technical legal skills’.

Always modest in the face of public plaudits, Joanne insists that the credit for the success and strength of Major Family Law lies with her hand-selected team, of whom she is fiercely proud. She says, “the service given to Major Family Law clients is a culmination of expertise, attitude, and professionalism, not just from the individual lawyers, but from the consultants who also support clients and from the dedicated and loyal team of legal assistants who equally build a strong rapport with each client”.

All in all, 1st October was a momentous day for the practice, both because of the accolades received from the Legal  500 and also because it was the date on which senior solicitor, Anna Hunter, took up her directorship awarded in recognition of her service to the practice and her track record with client cases.
