Role at Major Family Law

Sahil is an experienced and approachable family solicitor originally from Newcastle. He specialises in family matters involving divorce and financial relief.

Sahil trained at a Legal 500 ranked specialist family law firm in the South and went on to practice in a widely respected Tier 1 London based firm before returning back to Newcastle.

He studied Law at the University of Leicester and undertook a Masters at the City University of London before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive and completing the LPC at London Metropolitan University.

Sahil considers himself lucky to have a job he enjoys. He recognises the sensitive and attentive approach needed when undertaking family matters. He always strives to build a strong, supportive and professional relationship with all his clients. Sahil’s qualifications include:-

Sahil has had particular experience with complex financial matters including cases involving successful start-up companies, global property portfolios, foreign pensions and wide-ranging investments. He has also dealt with unique and complex scenarios including allegations of undisclosed assets, forged court documents and financial disputes following a lengthy period of separation. Sahil has had specialist training and experience in advocacy at Court and can advise and assist with all aspects in relation to the divorce and financial relief.

Outside of work

Sahil loves travelling and is a big foodie, the two hobbies seem to go hand in hand as he loves trying new cuisines whenever and wherever he goes on holiday.

He also enjoys pushing himself having taken part in a boxing match for Cancer Research, completed an ultra-marathon for the COVID-19 Relief Fund and gone sky diving for Daisy’s Dream, a charity that helps children in bereavement.

Sahil qualified through CILEX in July 2017 and cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2018.
