Role at Major Family Law
Stacy is an Associate Solicitor with Major Family Law, joining the firm in September 2021 as a solicitor and then being promoted to Associate in October 2023.
Stacy graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, before moving on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Law, Legal Practice Course and Maters in Legal Practice, graduating with a Distinction in 2019. Stacy completed her Training Contract at a firm in Cumbria, before relocating back to the North East. Stacy joined Major Family Law in September 2021.
Stacy is a sensitive and diligent family law solicitor. She strives to understand her client’s individual circumstances, while being attentive to their specific needs. Stacy’s main focus is achieving a positive outcome for her clients. She recognises that a delicate and approachable manner is needed when working with family law clients.
Stacy is passionate about children matters and assisting families work through turbulent and trying circumstances, while keeping the child’s best interests at the forefront of her mind. Stacy is experienced in dealing with high-conflict cases, which are assisted by her sensitive and attentive approach. She regularly advises clients in relation to specific issue orders and prohibited steps orders, including relocation applications and holiday requests.
Stacy has experience in dealing with a range of cases, including divorce, matrimonial finances, domestic abuse and child arrangements. Stacy is a keen advocate and enjoys representing her clients in the court arena. This provides for consistent and supportive representation for clients throughout their case.
Stacy was promoted to Associate on 1st October 2023 in recognition of her stellar contribution to the firm’s ongoing success.
Outside of Work
Stacy lives in Newcastle with her husband and their two cats.
Away from work, Stacy is a keen baker and theatre-lover. She attends the Newcastle Theatre Royal at every opportunity.
Stacy loves travelling and exploring new destinations, ticking off the bucket list as she goes. On each trip, Stacy’s goal is to face a fear and try something new. Most recently, Stacy climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge with her Husband.
