Our newest recruit had some unexpected challenges to face when she joined the team in March: just weeks later, the country went into lockdown and all but three of us began working from home. But Stephanie found her feet quickly and she has become a valued member of the team.

Stephanie qualified as a solicitor in 2014. She was accredited by the Law Society last year, and joined us from a regional firm featured in the Legal 500 ranking.

Stephanie has worked across the breadth of family law, earning praise for work on complex cases. She advises both married and unmarried couples, and both average income and high net worth families. Stephanie offers particular expertise on separation, financial issues and allegations of domestic violence, and is always very focused on helping families to reach agreements that are in the best interests of their children. She works hard to ensure clients reach fair and reasonable settlements during what may be one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Stephanie is an active member of legal organisation Resolution and serves as secretary of the local youth committee. Resolution promotes a non-confrontational approach to family disputes.

In her spare time, Stephanie looks after young daughter and enjoys baking and reading.

Stephanie said:

“I am excited to be working with Major Family Law, whose ethos so closely reflects my own. It has certainly been a very interesting time to start a new job, but seeing the way Joanne and the team have handled such an unprecedented time has shown me the resilience and professionalism I can expect from the Firm. Everyone has been very welcoming and we continue to keep in touch, regularly checking in with each other, sharing ideas and keeping everyone up to date with the daily changes the courts and legal professionals are facing. I am confident that I will continue to develop my practice, surrounded by brilliant and innovative lawyers, and very much look forward to being part of the team.”

Managing Director Joanne Major added:

“Stephanie is a well-regarded and experienced family lawyer and we were delighted to welcome her to our growing team. She has made a real contribution in the short time she has been with us.”
