Hitherto, Arbitration has only been available to parties dealing with the financial aspects of relationship breakdown.
The new ‘Children Scheme’ will give parties the opportunity to resolve disputes concerning the care arrangements for their children and other co-parenting issues, such as the exercise of parental responsibility, by arbitration. Arbitration can be a quicker and potentially cost effective way of resolving disputes as an alternative to litigation.
